Securemploy is a 26 year old company that provides employers innovative ways to find employees. Our goal is to work with progressive employers that offer you career opportunities instead of a job
Ways you will hear from us:
- By Direct Mail. Employers often hire us to write employment ads for them and then send it to the people in the exact job they are looking for. Those ads go to properties or companies that are of the same quality level as the employer that hired us. Jobs at luxury properties go to other luxury properties. Jobs at limited service hotels go to other limited service hotels of similar size and quality (Ads for Residence Inns go to other upscale rooms only properties. Ads for Super 8 go to properties similar to Super 8, but not to Residence Inns, etc.
To respond to direct mail ads. Simply follow the instructions at the bottom of the ad. That usually just means giving us a call. If you are not interested, pass the ad to one of your friends that might be interested.
- By E-mail. You will only receive emails about jobs if you are registered with our retained search division and have asked to be notified about jobs that fit your background.
Some employers like us to notify people about their jobs by email to your home email address. The emails you receive at home will be based on what the employer is looking for. That may not be the same thing you are looking for.
Example: An Employer may want a F&B Director for their hotel at $60-70,000. You may already be an F&B Director making $68,000, but want to be an Ass't. General Manager. If the employer is interested in an F&B Director and you fit and are interested in their location, you will get an email.
If you want to be an AGM why do we notify you about F&B Director ads? Because 90% of candidates who are in one position will move to another company in the same position if the new company represents a significant difference from the company the person currently works for. We never want to second guess what you are looking for, or what is happening in your career this month.
To respond to email ads . Either follow the directions in the email or click on the link that will take you to more information about the job and/or employer. If you are not interested delete the email. If you don't want to receive email notifications about jobs just let us know.
- By Phone. Our primary business is retained search. That means employers hire us to find the ideal candidate for them. When we are working search assignments we will either call you or send you an email to call us. That means we have an urgent assignment and we need to talk to you so call as soon as possible.
When will you hear from us?
That's a tough question to answer. It all depends on how many jobs employers call us about that fit your background, interest, salary requirements, and your geographical preferences.
Plan to spend at least 6 months looking for a new career opportunity. It may not take that long, but if you plan for it, you won't feel pressured to take the first job offer that comes along. Your objective is to stay in the drivers seat. Always make sure the search and placement firms you are using know exactly what you want to do next.
